Weaving New Threads into an Old Pattern

The Neurology of Change and Hypnotherapy as a Powerful Tool:

So I (Anne Milligan), am learning from some recent neuroscience-related hypnosis training that EVERYTHING (within the most intricate universal weaving) is a pattern within patterns. When a person begins looking at life this way, including the way our own human brain works, we start to really SEE. Nothing in life exists alone.  Everything in Creation truly IS connected to everything else.  What is totally NEW in my understanding ,  though, is just how resistant our own patterns truly are to change.  And change HAS to happen. We want to wake up every day and have things seem the same, but embedded within that "same" is the creative life force that pushes us into the future, as individuals and as a global society.  The "status quo" and the creative life force DO NOT get along.  Fear of change (and sometimes brutal reactivity) is the first reaction.

That is one of the primary reasons that we have clashing threads of philosophy, ideology, religion, etc.
I hope this new found knowledge helps me become at least a little more understanding when I present an antithetical (foreign) thread to an enmeshed group which has become set in its ways, and I see that they pounce in anger, in an attempt to “kill the messenger”.

Because of the way the human brain is constructed, our thoughts, feelings, and images of nurturing and bonding enable us to more efficiently give up our old ways and develop new patterns.  Although I have evolved out of some old patterns of religion, I am convinced down to the core of my being that God the Creator is Love, and that we are woven for God and God takes care of all of our fears and even our philosophical differences.  Coincidentally, while writing these words today, the following song blessing came to mind.  I offer it to you today, and receive it into my own heart,  as the expression of all the love we have ever received in our lives, all the nurturance and the care and the blessings, drawn here together in this “Now” moment where Love lives and breathes in our memory forever.

"Life is a journey, we travel together,
walking hand in hand,
with our sisters and brothers.
Our lives, though different,
are interwoven,
creating a beautiful
weaving of love in our world.
 "
(Weston Priory, “ Life is a Journey” 1989.)

It is so important to be open and willing to change, and I am grateful for the heart and soul that you bring to this work. Keep us posted. I still think it would be a good idea to do a hangout among friends sometime. Have a great day!
